The High Atlas, the greatest mountain range of North Africa, is perhaps the most beautiful and intriguing part of Morocco. It has retained a remoteness which until recent decades was virtually complete, and contains villages where the way of life has changed little for centuries.
 
 
Atlas Grand Tour - 21 days

A tough trek to the High and Central Atlas, with an option to climb North Africa's two highest peaks.

At 4,167m, Mount Toubkal (4167m) is the highest mountain in North Africa. The hike to the summit is challenging, but it requires no mountaineering experience and the panoramic view from he summit makes the hard work worthwhile.
With the start of the trek just a couple of hours drive from Marrakech, you can reach the summit and back within a week and still have time to explore Morocco’s most captivating city, Marrakech.
 

Day 1: Transfer from the airport to hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to start point of our trek in Ait Bou Guemez Valley.
Day 3: Trek through valley and ascend the Arous River gorge.
Day 4: Cross a series of passes before dropping down to a pasture below Jebel Mgoun.
Day 5: Optional ascent of Jebel Mgoun
Day 6: Descend into the Tessaout Valley.
Day 7: Walk to village of Ait Ali Nitto.
Day 8: We cross the Tizi Awrghiz to reach Tagoukht (2020m).
Day 9: Walk to reach the spectacularly located Lake Tamda.
Day 10: Optional ascent of Jebel Anghomar
Day 11: Descending to village of Telouat and adjacent Kasbah of the El Glaoui family.
Day 12: Cross the Tizi N'Telouat.
Day 13: Climb across a small pass to Taddert.
Day 14: Trek up onto the high pasture of the Yagour Plateau.
Day 15: Traverse to an excellent viewpoint of the High Atlas before descending into the Ourika Valley.
Day 16: We climb through a gorge on a spectacular balcony path and pass through three Berber villages.
Day 17: Cross the Tizi n-Tacheddirt (3172m) into the Imenane Valley.
Day 18: Trek across the Tizi n-Tamatert (2279m) and descend to Ait Souka.
Day 19: Optional ascent of climb Jebel Toubkal.
Day 20: Walking down to Imlil and transfer to the hotel in Marrakech.
Day 21: Transfer to the airport and departure from Marrakech
